Accommodation
There is a twin bedroom in the Victorian wing, with adjacent bathroom, and a twin/double bedroom on the Georgian south front, with a more distant bathroom (bathrobes are provided). This bedroom has a lovely view, with the scent of jasmine and wisteria in season wafting in from the outside wall. There are also two single bedrooms with a bathroom nearby. Bathrooms are for guests’ use only.
The double bedrooms have Smart TVs, while the single rooms have conventional TVs.There is disabled access to the bedrooms via a stair lift.
Guests are welcome to use the Library downstairs, where there is a television with DVD and VCR, and a large quantity of interesting old books. There are two pianos in the drawing
room, and a guitar, which guests are very welcome to play. There is also a log fire for cooler evenings. The house has oil-fired central
heating throughout. WiFi is available for guests.
You can expect a delicious traditional English breakfast which is served in the dining room, amongst family portraits dating back 200 years.
Breakfast includes pure squeezed orange juice, cereals, fruit compote, fresh fruit, yogurt, home made bread, home made marmalade, full English breakfast, locally sourced when available. Special diets can be catered for on request in advance. Your hosts also are happy to provide supper for guests on request - cost: from £25. Guests may bring their own wine.
